Backend Developer [C# / .NET framework] (m/f/d)

Join our Digital Transformation team and contribute to our agile environment, collaborating within a diverse and interdisciplinary team to support the development of our low-code DataXpert platform (for more details, visit dataxpertforengineers.com). You will reinforce the RulesXpert team and play a key role in enhancing our rules engine to meet customer needs.

Your main tasks:
• Create scalable, reliable and efficient server-side applications

• Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker), Kubernetes is an advantage

We are looking for a

Mechanical engineer (m/f/d)

Integrated in a team of engineers and designers you will develop new heavy-duty mechanical systems and equipment operating in the iron- and steelmaking environment to face the challenges of green steelmaking.
Furthermore, and in close collaboration with our customers, you will adapt existing solutions to their requirements. You will be involved in the technical support for various products covering the whole range of Paul Wurth technologies.

Your main tasks:
• Design and engineering of equipment, consisting in the elaboration of concepts and technical evaluation
• The calculation for the dimensioning of equipment components
• Modelling and designing in CAD
• Creation of bill of quantities and bill of materials
• Coordination between our engineering departments and our service and purchasing departments
• Discussions on the technical details with customers and suppliers as well as the follow-up of manufacturing.
• Self-contained working on development projects.

What do we expect?
• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent degree
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a product designer in the iron and steel industry, the oil and gas industry or similar industries
• Strong command in CAD software, both 3D (Creo) and 2D (AutoCAD)
• Knowledge in engineering simulation software (FEM, CFD, DEM) as well as coding software (Python, C++, VBA) being an advantage
• Curiosity and passion for new technologies, processes and inventions as well as commitment and enjoyment of new challenges
• International mind-set and willingness to travel worldwide
• Fluent in English and either German and/or French. Luxembourgish language skills are an asset.

We are looking for an

Electrical engineer (m/f/d)

You will integrate into our EIC department and work in an agile environment within an interdisciplinary team supporting worldwide projects in the field of the iron making industry and green steel technologies.
If you are a team player, if working independently combined with strong communication and analytical thinking skills are your strength and passion, then this could be the right place for you.

Your main tasks:
• Technical project handling from the offer stage to the completion of the project
• Design of electric and hydraulic control systems for blast furnace equipment
• Technical presentations and discussions with customers
• Equipment manufacturing follow-up with suppliers as well as quality control and acceptance tests at suppliers’ premises
• Collaboration across departments with colleagues from engineering and other disciplines
• On-site support for customers in the commissioning of equipment and in the training of operating personnel.

What do we expect?
• Degree in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of professional experience in the industry (single line diagram, automation layout, supplier specification, instrumentation)
• Skilled in offer making and project execution up to commissioning on site

Process Engineer (m/f/d)

Integrated in a team of engineers and designers you will work on procedures to develop new processes and increase the efficiency of our existing equipment portfolio operating in the iron- and steelmaking environment. Furthermore, and in close collaboration with our customers, you will adapt existing solutions to their requirements. You will be involved in the technical support for many products covering the whole range of Paul Wurth technologies.

Your main tasks:

  • Development and implementation of alternative ironmaking processes
  • Process definition & calculations
  • Elaboration of technical specifications, process flow sheets and process functional descriptions
  • Technical evaluation of offers
  • Preparation and realization of marketing and sales presentations
  • Technical management: assisting in engineering coordination with internal engineering departments, suppliers and customers
  • Assisting in the commissioning of new plants and equipment
  • Self-contained working on development projects.

What do we expect?

  • Engineering degree preferentially with a specialisation in process or chemical engineering
  • Professional experience in the steel industry, oil and gas or similar industry is considered as an advantage
  • Knowledge of process software and/or numerical simulations
  • High level of initiative and responsibility and full commitment to the assigned projects

We are looking for a

Technical Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Are you passionate about developing technical sales activities for dedicated customers of the iron service portfolio? Then join us and strengthen our Technical Service team.

Your main tasks:

  • Promotion & marketing of spare parts, refurbishments & services including: technical-commercial presentations to customers
  • Frequent customer visits on a global scale, often on short notice
  • Elaboration of technical specifications, cost estimation ad commercial offers in coordination with commercial manager
  • Technical follow-up of project
  • Forecast of order potential for next financial year for dedicated customers / territory
  • Technical support & advisory to sites in relation with spare parts requirements
  • Periodic review of Paul Wurth installed base at customers, data collection in relation to: equipment lifetime, replacement frequency, man hours required for dedicated tasks, outsourcing
  • Manage the interactions with the customers and our global group entities during Sales phase, execution phase and follow-up
  • Preparation of customer trainings for repairs & maintenance of Paul Wurth equipment
  • Continuous training to stay up-to-date with respect to technical upgrades of Paul Wurth equipment.

What do we expect?

  • Sc. or M.Sc. degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Strong technical basis, and good analytical skills for problem solving
  • Know-how of Paul Wurth equipment and Service business in ironmaking is an asset
  • Experience in field maintenance activities in ironmaking is an asset
  • Experience in project and claim management is an asset
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
