Our division of Corporate Technology plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. Corporate Technology operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.

The core of the IT System Management at Euroclear lies in the scanning, evaluating, selecting, adopting and decommissioning of core technologies for the Euroclear IT infrastructure environments. This requires the function holder not only to maintain close relationships with the key technology providers, but also to develop a consistent technology strategy and life-cycle management plans backed up with a forward looking hardware and software budget (capital expenditure as well as operating expenditure).

Senior System Engineer

We are excited to present you the key job openings within Corporate Technology at Euroclear, related to Infrastructure Management: Senior Middleware Engineer and the z/OS Programmer. The positions are Brussels based on a full time basis.

The role of Senior Middleware Engineer is open in Enterprise Middleware Integration Services, within the department Enterprise Technology Services. You will join the Communication and Integration Services (CIS) team as a Senior System Engineer. CIS is in charge of Middleware solutions for the Euroclear group delivering Messaging systems (IBM MQ), File Transfer, Integration Broker, CICS , z/OS Programming languages and Output solutions. Those services run on Windows, Unix, Tandem and z/OS.

The role of z/OS Programmer is open in the Brussels 3rd level Mainframe System Engineering Support team. This position will provide the adequate candidate will the possibility of delivering system expertise in z/OS technology, working largely autonomously on a range of projects and tasks, implementing standard complex systems and being involved in the design of new, technical solutions.

Your profile

In order to fit the above mentioned profiles, you will need:

  • Proven experience in Windows, Unix, Tandem and z/OS;

OR

  • Solid mainframe support background that includes z/OS installation, maintenance and troubleshooting as well as systems programming support.

AND

  • You are eager to use and expand your knowledge in relation to the mentioned technologies and solutions.
  • You are able to translate business requirements into a functional design/solution(s).
  • You are fluent in English. French and/or Dutch will be an asset.
  • You are service-minded and have good communication skills
  • You are eager to learn, analytical and have an integration mindset
  • You are a strong team player, flexible and proactive

 

Please note that the positions include participation in the watch duty role (24/24 on call for a total of about 7 days/month).
