Job description 

Role purpose: Operate as a leader for New Product Development project according to our Innovation Model from the Idea phase all the way through to successfully launching the new product into the market.

The Innovation Manager is a key player in the delivery of organic growth, by fostering the smooth delivery of the NPD projects.

The role is to be in one of the country close to our technical departments (Cholet, France, Casella, Italie and Manheim, Germany) and will require up to 20% of travelling across the region.

Responsibilities 

  • Plan and coordinate the different activities within each stage of the NPD process, collect & analyze the findings of these activities, report and present the outcomes of these analyses during gate meetings.  These activities are performed by various departments involved (Marketing, Sales, Product Developments, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal) during the development of new products.
  • Help to review & edit new ideas submitted by colleagues in specific documents. Propose & present analyses, together with the initiator of the new business & product ideas to Gate Keepers.
  • Visit (in collaboration with Marketing & Sales) clients, end-users, job-sites, professionals to conduct Voice-of-Customer research. Capture client’s problem, needs, wants and insights. Present solutions, concepts, prototypes and newly developed products.
  • Prepare the business cases & budgets (with the finance department), based on the stages’ activities findings and monitor the key financial indicators of the business case along the development of the new product. Plan for the development and launch of new products.
  • Engage with external experts (patent attorneys, design consultants) if necessary to support each project.

Requirements 

  • Experienced Project Management in municipal, mechanical or civil construction projects.
  • Business savviness with focus on Marketing; New Product Development and Operations/Engineering functions.
  • Knowledge of plastic extrusion & injection molding.
  • Experience with Stage-Gate product developments methods is a plus.
  • Ability to manage cross functional team comprising of varying levels of seniority outside of direct line organizational structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects that vary in complexity and priority.
  • Fluent in English & French – any additional European language is a plus.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in innovation management, a deep understanding of the pipe fitting sector, and a passion for sustainable practices.

Packaging technical coordinator

We are seeking an innovative Packaging Technical Coordinator to join our team. This role will focus on supporting our business objectives, primarily by implementing and advancing strategies for packaging reduction.

Maintenance Manager

Location: IT - Zola Predosa 

Our company

In Italy we are present with more than 700 people and 5 production sites. With our main local brands FIP, REDI, ASTORE, ISEA and LARETER, we make products for the building, infrastructure, industry, and agriculture sectors.

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager for our plant in Zola Predosa (BO). The candidate, who will join our team, will report directly to the plant manager and will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Manage and implement maintenance systems (extraordinary, preventive, scheduled and emergency) and oversee their correct application including related reporting and maintenance record keeping. The scope of the role includes all facilities of the site (manufacturing / logistics / common areas / offices / yards).
  • Execute, control and report mandatory legal compliance maintenance and control activities to all equipment of the site.
  • Manage the Maintenance Budget and develop management and cost control indicators. Optimize direct maintenance costs and maintenance costs for facilities.
  • Coordinate maintenance criteria for equipment, machines, production lines, systems (power supply, compressed air systems, heating, cooling systems, lifting systems, lighting, etc.), buildings, in order to minimize general malfunctions and production stoppages due to breakdowns and failures.
  • Highlighting possible machines downtime problems, in the various departments, identifying maintenance tasks and assigning activities and priorities.
  • Control and manage the reordering of spare parts and calls to external suppliers for technical support or intervention needs.
  • Ensuring that all maintenance activities carried out by internal or external parties are carried out according to established safety procedures and legal compliance.
  • Manage and develop the maintenance team.

Required Competencies:

  • Several years' experience in a similar position within a manufacturing company.
  • Experience in a multinational company in the sector is a plus.
  • A degree in the field of engineering is required.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent skills in managing people, suppliers and internal customers.

Within Aliaxis Research & Technology Center, we are looking for a Adhesives & Joints Team leader who will Lead and develop the Team to deliver the company technology roadmap in alignment with the Business strategy

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a technical/scientific team project portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
  • Provide leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.

  • Mentors and provides guidelines to Research Engineers, Ph.D. and Lab Technicians for research and technology development.
  • Responsible for the performance management activities of the team in close alignment with the project managers.
  • Actively ensure to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices.
  • Act responsible to ensure safe working conditions for the team.
  • Manage external contacts with suppliers, customers, technology partners, and universities (contracts, partnerships)

Required Competencies:

  • 5 – 8 years of experience in a similar role
  • Master or Ph.D. Degree in the appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience, preferable in a Material Science or Chemical Engineering, experience with polymers is desired.
  • Languages: English, plus one or more European languages would be advantageous.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
  • 7+ years of international experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities.
  • Experienced in working within a research environment.
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques.

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • IT Engineer with focus on AIOT from the best schools (Telecom Paristech, KU Leuven, ETH ZURICH, University of Edimburg…) Languages: English, French would be appreciated
  • 5+ years of experience working in R&D closely with business functions with at least 2 years of experience working in an open innovation mode
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Experience working within a research environment and cross-functional matrix environment
  • Experience working with open innovation models is required
  • Project Management certification (PMP/PMI or Prince2) is a plus
