Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

At Avio Aero, we believe in the value of an international and inclusive environment, where people lead innovation with new sustainable and cutting edge technologies. We know that by embracing diverse teams and perspectives we are better equipped to innovate, to solve big problems, and to deliver for our customers We are convinced that innovation, a key part of our DNA, must be considered from different view points.

For years, Avio Aero has been working to promote practical and real inclusion of diversity at the level of both governance and initiatives: it was among the first companies in Italy to establish the role of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Leader, supported by a complete organization, the DEI Council, which plans all activities through six Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) bringing together individuals with common backgrounds and experiences to connect, grow and advocate for their communities.

ERGs break down barriers and provide education on a clear and strong DEI strategy. They prompt meaningful, necessary and sometimes uncomfortable conversations about equity, opportunity, inclusive leadership and accountability among managers.

These are the areas where DEI progress is made:

  • WOMEN NETWORK: we attract and value talented professionals, promoting their professional development. In December 2023, Avio Aero obtained the Italian Gender Equality Certification established under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) to incentivize Italian companies to take appropriate initiatives to reduce the gender
  • PRIDE ALLIANCE: we encourage an environment in which everyone is free to be themselves.
  • DISABILITIES ADVOCACY NETWORK: we create an increasingly inclusive and diversified environment to allow those who have direct or indirect experience with disability to make the most of their abilities
  • HEALTH AHEAD: we promote activities and initiatives in favor of the health and well being of our employees
  • VOLUNTEERS: we encourage, sustain and organize activities to improve life quality in local communities and support non profit organizations, developing projects about education, health and environmental protection
  • GREEN TEAM NETWORK: we promote activities and initiatives to promote and enhance a series of daily actions to protect the environment, encouraging the adoption of a more attentive and respectful lifestyle of the ecosystem as individuals and as part of a company.
