Chemist - Materials Researcher

Job Purpose

In this role, you will lead efforts to design, develop and validate innovative materials for the future Bridgestone products. You will also play a key role in the development of new polymers & fillers through your solid knowledge on Material Science, covering a wide range of activities from laboratory-based chemical/physical characterization, up-to prototype evaluation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, development and validation of new polymers/filler materials providing proposals, solutions and original ideas along with the Raw Material Development team and implementing new solutions in the daily activities.
  • Chemical / Physical techniques trough new methodology development.
  • Support and collaborate with the R&D laboratory for implementation of most advanced
  • Chemical / Physical techniques trough new methodology development.
  • Promote Open Innovation projects with Bridgestone partners (suppliers, startups, research associates) & academia and launch new technologies.
  • Work effectively with R&D researchers, staff, technicians, and management of Bridgestone EMIA Technical Center, actively taking part to R&D cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with Bridgestone Corporate Functions, Bridgestone America and Bridgestone Japan and Bridgestone Europe manufacturing plants.
  • To represent Bridgestone in conference, workshops with external partners.

Your Qualifications:

  • Education, Master, other certification: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or any other related field of study.

  • Technical Knowledge: Solid knowledge of digital software as Matlab, Python. Skills in machine learning, big data analytics, computer vision and material simulation is preferable.

IT Application Architect

Job Purpose

You will act as a key contributor to the design, implementation, and enhancement of solutions, serving as an IT expert and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your focus on user interaction, process optimization, and effective solution implementation will drive continuous improvement, making mobility easier, safer, and more seamless for our society and customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will act as Application Architect of one of our Business Area (supply chain,

manufacturing…)

  • You participate in the design & implementation of solutions.
  • You act as the IT expert in the projects you are involved in.
  • You coordinate and participate in the testing of new requirements delivered by the supplier.
  • You frequently interact with users and process owners for the identification of improvement opportunities.
  • You liaise with technology and solution providers for the effective implementation of the solutions.
  • Together with the business center of excellence you align on application improvements.

  • You functionally guide the first- and second-line support teams which are located offshore.

IT Business System Analyst

Job Purpose

This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence through technology. You will lead the charge in analyzing and improving business processes, collaborating cross-functionally to implement innovative solutions. Your expertise in solution platforms like Power Apps and Microsoft Automate, along with your ability to proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement, will shape our organization's efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analyzing and developing new processes and changes to business processes, conducting requirements gathering session and translating them into functional / technical specifications for the relevant applications.
  • Perform to develop a variety of interface tasks including design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting, primarily using solution like Power Apps, Microsoft Automate, …
  • Proactively identify and act on opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments, teams, and staff across the organization to design, configure and implement application. Job Purpose

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of our IT platform, ensuring it aligns with our business goals, and meets the needs of our internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your responsibilities may include supplier management, quality assurance, negotiation of service level agreements, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Your expertise will help mitigate supply disruption risks and contribute to the success of our IT services.

  • Identifying, coaching, and managing suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies

Job Purpose

In this role you will develop products for EMEA markets as part of an integrated project team, embracing a strong project management discipline and facing technical challenges in order to meet the future needs. Specific focus on development activity in tire design and industrialization.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the technical development of tires by participating in technical teams.
  • Contributes to the process of benchmarking, designing prototypes, planning and analyzing of test results, and preparing technical documentation.

R&D Compound Development Engineer

Job Purpose

In this role, you will lead design, develop and validate innovative compound solutions for the future Bridgestone sustainable mobility solutions. You will also play a key role in the development of new passenger compound development through your solid knowledge on Material Science, Chemistry and industrial process technology covering a wide range of activities from design thinking of compound prototype, laboratory investigation, compound validation on tire until industrialization stage.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and validate new technology packages to fulfill main requirement of BSEMIA tread compound roadmap providing proposals, solutions and original ideas along cross functional team-working with the Raw Material Development, Pattern Design Engineering, Tire Design, Manufacturing and Product Category Management teams
  • Promote Innovation projects and fundamental mechanism investigation in materials science with Bridgestone Partners & Academia.
