We build the common software platform to enable the majority of in vehicle functions to run seamlessly. Creating this foundation is our mission within VW.os.

Our team works on defining and establishing the system and software platform for our vision of a "Software Enabled Car"!

In order to achieve this goal we work in a scaled agile way (SAFe) across several sites in Germany and international.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Be responsible for software components and functions within the vehicle and cloud platform – conceptually as well as technically for Platform Health Monitoring topics
  • Be responsible for all technical / project issues of this software functionality (content, time, quality) for the next generation embedded software platform and ensuring platform health data is available in the backend
  • Drive the end-2-end development activities: Responsible for the entire lifecycle - starting from the concept phase to final release
  • Prioritize the overall backlog in relation to the customer needs and project milestones
  • Present the project status - also on management level - in agile ceremonies and project
    meetings
  • Support to define the product vision and roadmap

WHO YOU ARE

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in development of complex embedded SW systems in the automotive industry as well as experience in technical project management of SW projects, preferably in the automotive domain
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing and IoT technologies
  • Good knowledge in project management frameworks and methods such as e.g., ASPICE and SAFe and profound experience with project management tools such as Jira, github, Confluence
  • Technical leadership of an international expert team and a network of development partners - with a strong customer focus

As SW Architect for CARIAD Maps you'll be responsible for the system and software architecture of our IDAV (Integrated Driver Assistance Visualization) component. You'll be responsible for aligning interfaces with our driver assistance teams and ensuring a stunning visualization in our instrument clusters.

It is our mission at the CARIAD ADAS & AD team to develop one unified technology stack in-house that brings Level 4 automated driving and parking to private cars and at the same time scales down to supply important NCAP safety functionalities to the entire VW fleet - making mobility safer and creating a new level of driving comfort.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Take responsibility for the technical concept and system design

YOUR TEAM

You will operate within the domain “Vehicle Motion and Energy”. At CARIAD, we are the backbone of driving functions and constitute the interface to the automotive mechatronics within the Volkswagen Group. We develop in (agile) teams powertrain, chassis and energy related functionalities, such as motion manager, steering, damper control or the charging of electric vehicles and many more. Thereby, we enable future innovations and new business models.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Being responsible for the overall test management, including the definition of the test guidelines, the development of the test policy and the test concept in compliance with relevant norms and standards (e.g. ISO29119, ISO26262, ASPICE, KGAS)
  • Developing and evolving test strategies and plans in accordance with organization-wide regulations as well as developing methods and automations to improve continuous testing
  • Coordinating a team of external test managers and testers within the project
  • Planning and controlling all necessary activities in terms of time, resources and necessary test approaches by considering the criticality of the test object, risks and required level of approval
  • Coordinating and monitoring all test activities including the creation of test specifications, test automation and the evaluation of test results

WHO YOU ARE

  • Successful completed studies in the field of computer science, information technology, automotive engineering or a comparable course of studies
  • Several years of professional experience in testing, verification and validation
  • Advanced experience in software development/testing in the context of Autosar Classic or Adaptive
  • ISTQB test manager certification preferable
  • Being up to date with current state of technology and given standards in software and function development (ASPICE, ISO26262, etc.)

YOUR TEAM

In eSIM (Connectivity) department at CARIAD, we are responsible for enabling connectivity for Volkswagen Group vehicles around the globe. Our Connectivity Platform enables the eSIM fitted in the vehicle to attach to a mobile network and establish a reliable and secure connection to be used for all kind of services that need it for their successful operations. We design and deploy solutions based on cutting edge technologies to provide a strong foundation for an enriched digital customer experience.

As a value-add for the customers, we enable purchase of B2C data packages for services such as in-vehicle WLAN and streaming. In this context, we are bringing innovation to give more control to customers regarding their subscription with mobile network operators. In addition, expansion of our coverage footprint is one of the key focus areas as there is strong demand to bring more markets online. This brings with it challenge to properly manage and steer such a rollout from a B2B and B2C perspective.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage rollout of connectivity for Volkswagen group vehicles around the globe
  • Steer evaluation of connectivity rollout for target market from budget, timeline, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate financing of individual projects
  • Plan clusters to efficiently use synergies of implementation for multiple markets
  • Coordinate and prepare feedback for the related committees and governance
  • Monitor the progress of the rollout and prepare reports for the concerned audience
