The IT competency centers (CoE-Center of Expertise) are accountable for the development of an IT strategy for their functional area aligned to the overall Campari business objectives and requirements for business capabilities.

The Global IT Governance Manager is  part of the Campari Global IT Strategy, Governance & Portfolio team, which aims to help accelerate the Digital transformation to meet strategic goals through the definition and governance of standards, roadmaps and management of IT operating model, IT portfolio and IT Vendor landscape enabling alignment between evolving strategy and performance.

General Description of the Role

The Global IT PMO is responsible for leading and managing the IT Project Management Office (PMO). The primary mission is to ensure that the IT projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

S/he will be also responsible for management of the IT portfolio, ensuring the best usage of company resources (internal capacity and budget), enabling continuous alignment to company  evolving strategy.

S/he will support the organization in clear decision making /project prioritization, to ensure alignment to strategic objectives, whilst ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery through the governance of projects, processes and solutions,

minimizing risk, ensuring that the portfolio is agile and adaptable to changing business needs

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Set up and lead PM hub team / community , made of internal and External PMs, ensuring the team is delivering the expected value for the organization
  • Develop and maintain IT project management methodologies, tools, and templates, liaising with Global IT Governance manager.
  • Lead and manage the IT project portfolio to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Ensure an always up to date picture of IT Project Portfolio is always available to all the stakeholders (internal and external). The view includes also:
    • Financials (cash and the P&L view).
    • Internal Resource&capacity planning
    • Benefits plan and realization
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including the IT management team.
  • Ensure that project managers are adhering to the established project management methodologies, tools, and templates.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to project managers to develop their project management skills and competencies.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize project management processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage the IT PMO budget and resources to ensure that they are utilized effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to improve the understanding and adoption of project management best practices across the organization.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the IT PMO's performance and implement improvements as necessary
  • Liaise with IT Demand managers and Business stakeholders key project and program sponsors to build and maintain business cases for initiatives in the portfolio and monitor ongoing benefits realization and change management postdelivery.
  • Coordinate/organize the different forums in which project/programs are reviewed, approved and prioritized based on:
    • Alignment to Campari group strategic objectives
    • Financial and business case validity ensuring a performant level of resource allocation/utilization;
  • Establish metrics and KPIs across related to IT portfolio for planning and delivery. Lead the analyses and reporting of portfolio metrics. Maintains project and portfolio level health, financial, resource, governance results, and other project and portfolio meta-data while administering the portfolio management processes.
  • IT Portfolio reporting
    • Preparation of management reporting, monitoring targeted budget versus approved consumed budget
    • Preparing overview on project pipeline and supporting the approval process
    • Driving projects through the lifecycle managing necessary approval in conjuction with line manager
    • Performing quality check of new project and change requests
    • Tracking of project actuals and comparison with planned figures
    • Facilitate project cross- fertilization and interaction with global/ local team members
    • Support strategic planning exercise providing input PPM reporting
    • Reviews and consolides internal resource and Capacity planning reporting engaging with different stakeholders (Demand managers, project managers, people managers) to ensure consistent and correct view is always available for management review
    • Reviewing and consolidating projects’ status in PPM tool, engaging with relevant stakholders
    • Interfacing with finance team to review and consolidate project portfolio budget and forecast

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  1. Experience/Skills (required)
  • 8+ years of experience working in IT
  • 3+ years of experience in driving IT portfolio, PMO and Governance organization.
  • 8+ years of program/project management experience, focusing on IT solutions
  • Certified by the Project Management Institute or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience managing or mentoring a team
  • 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and budget management (CAPEX / OPEX / Depreciation)
  • 3+years of experience in managing IT vendors
  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units
  • Proven track record of delivering IT projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Role/Mission/Objectives

With a direct reporting line into the Global Operations & Maintenance Excellence Director / Senior Director Manufacturing EMEA, the Operations Excellence Specialist, will support the design and development of  a framework to effectively embed operations excellence and “zero loss” mindset into daily operational standard work. The operations excellence specialist will also work closely with the global and regional teams to drivel Manufacturing Excellence and Maintenance strategies, applying Lean and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) concepts to improve manufacturing performance. This role will be critical in ensuring that the operations excellence program is cascaded effectively and deployed effectively across Campari production facilities.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

The main responsibilities of the Operational Excellence  Specialist include:

  • Support the development and deployment of the Operations Excellence program “The Campari Way”
  • Develop the capability in site manufacturing teams, build the foundation of continuous improvement principles across operational teams
  • Support performance improvement initiatives within the plants through the application of Lean methodologies, advanced statistical tools and delivery of related Kaizen events
  • Define standard work to contribute towards zone improvements in SQCDMP (Safety Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Planet).
