Data scientist / Data Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will take part, from the exploratory phase up to production launches, in:

  • Analysing new structured datasets for alpha research
  • Extracting relevant features from these datasets to assist the Research teams
  • Contacts with our data providers
  • Understanding business issues in order to identify new modelling pathways
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of our Data Platform and ingest pipelines
  • Owning end-to-end data workflows and developing data domain expertise in relation with the Research teams
  • Data quality assurance and application monitoring

SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering school or university equivalent (preferably a Master’s in Data Science)
  • At least one experience in data analysis or similar role
  • Professional knowledge of programming and visualisation in Python
  • Coding skills with of data science tools and libraries (Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter)
  • Knowledge of data pipelines construction
  • Familiarity with distributed computing tools and cloud technology (Spark, AWS)
  • Versatile, autonomous, and rigorous, with a strong team spirit and good communication skills
  • Professional-level knowledge of English.

Data is the fuel that powers our investment strategies: intraday price dynamics are used to better our investment decisions; buy/sell intents of market participants help to trade at the best available price. CFM Data team prepares the data to make quant research easier and trading more reliable.

As a cloud engineer your main responsibility will be to build & run the cloud infrastructure that powers our data pipelines. We strongly believe that staffing data engineering teams with cloud skills help us deliver more data in a shorter amount of time.

You will join our data-mesh initiative as one of our earliest contributors. Equipped with the ‘infra-as-code’ superpower you will deliver the services that will help our data engineering teams publish & share their datasets with their users. You will also provide the building blocks for implementing efficient and reliable data pipelines.

You will also contribute to our existing cloud data platform to optimize its cost, reliability & performance as well as provide onboarding/training to our data scientists/engineers.

  • Previous AWS experience, ideally a certification
  • Python

Quantitative Developer

Location: Paris, France

ABOUT THE ROLE

In collaboration with the Research teams, the Front Prediction division develops and maintains the prediction applications necessary for the decisions of our systems. Your missions will include:

  • The integration and validation of new predictive models on Python decision chains
  • Design and implementation of prediction chain (simulation and production)
  • Following up the production of Prediction applications and distribution of bins and intraday indicators
  • Continuous improvement of non-regression tools and pre-production checks
  • Development and optimization of time series distribution applications and real-time indicators

SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

You have a master’s degree and are a passionate and brilliant engineer. You ideally have some experience in market finance:

  • You master Python skilfully
  • You have an understanding and experience in the field of Machine Learning (including Sickit-learn libraries and TensorFlow)
  • You are familiar with Oracle and SQL queries
  • The Linux environment is your natural environment

Linux System Engineer

Location: Paris, France

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • You will be joining a team in charge of Compute, Storage, Virtualization and DevOps infrastructure services.
  • Reporting directly to the head of the Systems division within our Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the production and maintenance of our systems in operational condition.
  • Deployment of physical or virtual servers according to the needs of business teams
  • Automation of deployments
  • Support management of our technical scope with other IT teams
  • The evolution and maintenance of our tools and services 

SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • First experience in the exploitation of Linux systems and good knowledge of CentOS.
  • Sense of responsibility and great autonomy, teamwork, and pedagogy
