Junior Business Messaging Engineer

We are looking for a junior Business Messaging Engineer who will contribute to a team responsible for the SWIFT business messages management; Business and Development teams support, main Swift business project implementation.

This position involves analytical skills and troubleshooting capability to work with the team member to quickly diagnose and resolve business and technical issues.

Role  

  • Provide support to the Business users and production team.
  • Participate cross-squads/teams testing activities (e.g. test scheduling, configuration setup, environment alignment…).
  • Implement application patches for the applications BESS/IG on HPE NonStop hardware.
  • You will participate to the testing phase  (e.g. Swift release, new business application flow).
  • Being part of a small team to support to critical SWIFT applications (BESS / IG).
  • Troubleshooting any errors in test or Production.
  • Implement application patches for the applications BESS/IG
  • Support Client onboarding and SWIFT ISO150022 connectivity issue.
  • Participate to the Watch duty and Week-end work (Release, SWAP between Data centre).
  • Maintains operational documentation.

You have: 

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Mathematics, Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
  • Ideally a first job/traineeship experience in IT.

Division

Role:

  • Coordinate with Enterprise and domain Architecture (EA), Feature engineers, developers, Business analysts
  • Designing a Detailed Technical Design document to use as a blueprint reference for development.
  • Have the capacity to detail the data model impacted respecting the Architecture Solution and Architecture guidelines
  • Taking full ownership of your parts of the design elements, ensuring coherence with other areas that are working in parallel
  • Developing technical solution based on functional requirements: Involving data modelling, guiding developer
  • Provision of budget and workload estimates for the assigned items
  • Coaching programmers and reviewing their work, including external staff
  • Be the AO (application owner) for a set of applications which will require you to perform several tasks such as feasibility study, problem management, account recertifications

An application engineer that enjoys turning challenging business and technical requirements into realistic and maintainable IT solutions. Your role involves working closely with colleagues in different domains or external suppliers to find the optimal, customer-centric solution. Customer focus and problem solving belong to your strongest skills.

Once the solutions are designed, we count on you to supervise and coach the implementation teams so that the delivery goes as per design and per plan.

You will, based on your extensive experience, provide guidance to team so that sustainable and maintainable solutions are delivered.

You are willing to take ownership of the delivered solutions. In that context you are not afraid to perform hands-on interventions or provide support to ensure the uptime of the applications.

As application owner you see it as your role to define future roadmap of activities to be performed to keep the solutions (HW& SW) up to date.

Technical skills:
