Senior Project Engineer

Location: Valladolid - Spain

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will report to the Plant Manager

Responsibilities

  • Management, coordination and control of engineering projects in all their stages and aspects
  • Design: definition of specifications according to the needs of internal customers. Requisition and evaluation of solutions and purchase proposals
  • Approval: follow the internal administrative management processes of ACT's until the economic approval of the project
  • Execution: Control the execution and coordinate the agents involved (Suppliers, Affected and Internal Customers)
  • Management, coordination and control of the external services assigned to it
  • Participation, according to assigned responsibilities, in different teams that manage different aspects: PHA, Process Safety Management, Near Misses, Ergonomics.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in Maintenance area within industrial environments or as a Project or Facilities Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering
  • Proficient English

Production Manager

Location: Saint Just En Chaussee Plant - France

As a  Production Manager M / W, you will plan and monitor the production of mastics to achieve the defined objectives, contribute to improve mastics production processes, as well as manage the team of mastics workshop.

You will be reporting to Site Director.

Main Responsibilities  

  • Lead mastics workshop team (Direct management 9 collaborators – indirect between 60 & 80)
  • Insure Production Management
  • Monitor the implementation of investments (new workshop starting this year)
  • Manage all parameters in automation systems
  • Plan the actions to reduce production cycles
  • Put in place standardized tools
  • Deploy Lean management methods
  • Participation in the Site Leadership Team

Qualifications

  • Master's in engineering in a technical field, chemistry or Food industry
  • 10 years of experience industrial environment with management of production team.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools
  • Office Package (can perform complex functions in Excel)
  • Fluent in French and English

Production Area Manager

Location: Milan Plant - Italy

As a Production Area Manager , you will own the manufacturing of our coating products to ensure safe production of material that meets customer and quality system requirements in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Can you follow safe work practices and connect with technical, production, logistics  and non-technical personnel

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the shift Pattern  of Team leaders , employees and temporary Workers (20-40 resources ).
  • Ensure staff is practicing safe work habits and aligning with PPG safety policies
  • Ensure Quality & efficiency standards are being maintained by production workers.
  • Support Operations Manager and Plant Manager in order to deliver Production Volumes and discuss Monthly reviews
  • Ensure adequate Training to Workforce  .
  • Continuously develop the cross-function team meetings and agree suitability of new products / equipment in order to meet future production requirements.
  • Develop and Implement Improvement Plans to meet existing and future needs.
  • Focus on Lean Manufacturing , 5S ,AM and  Continuous Improvement
  • Planning and guarantee filling efficiencies reducing the downtime to a minimum, by collaboration with other departments and laboratories.
  • Agree and monitor Production Key Performance Indicators and Targets
  • Work closely with Planning Department in developing achievable and balanced Production Plans.
  • Create and sustain a positive working environment that instills motivation and high standards of work and good industrial relations.
  • Mentor, Develop and Empower the Shift Leaders to enable them to develop in their roles

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s technical degree is preferred , High school diploma will be evaluated on experience demonstrated .
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing/Warehouse  experience; Prior experience as a supervisor of production resources  is required
  • Quality and Safety proven knowledge, required; Demonstrated leadership, along with outstanding interpersonal communications skills;
  • Excellent problem solving skills to drive continual improvement efforts. Proficient analytical abilities, attention to detail, and technical report writing
  • Warehousing and Shipment Experience is  Preferred

Powder Process Engineer

Location – Verbania Plant - Italy

The Powder Process Engineer has successful track record of driving impactful improvements in a manufacturing organization. Strong attention to detail and the ability to track multiple projects simultaneously are necessary. The successful candidate will take an active role in improving safety, quality, and efficiency in manufacturing!

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops knowledge, reviews, prepares, maintains major process equipment operating procedures and data systems for the plant for efficient operation. Reviews and gives a sign-off to documentation prepared by others.
  • Understand operation of Mixers, Extruders and Mills. Ability to set extruder run rates, RPM's Torque, Temperature, Mill run rates, Air Flow, Classifier Speed, Rotor Speed, Particle Size.
  • Plays an active role in the training, coaching, mentoring process of production staff. Offers process training to Operators.
  • Identifies and builds evaluation methods and implements projects to reduce changeover time, increase machine uptime and improve equipment maintenance and reliability.
  • Lead root cause failure analysis and problem solving sessions for confirmed (CAIR) customer complaints and related to process and chronic product manufacturing performance issue
  • Develop and own PFMEA process and Control Plan
  • Work with designated teams on Capital Projects involving Process Improvements, Equipment changes, etc. Understand CAPEX process, Project Time Line, Return on Investment, etc.
  • Supports Site or SBU auditing programs for ISO, EHS, 5s
  • Collaborates with the Plant Technical Team on formula validations, scale-up and product transfer activities as needed. Activities should include using both standard procedures and new characterization approaches as needed. Support should include process parameters, error proofing, experimental trials with data analysis and providing a summary report.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent field with 3+ years of learning experience. Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering degrees preferred.
  • Ability to work with and collaborate with multiple departments and sites.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in time study analysis and excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience with fundamental theories, principles, and concepts of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma preferred.

  • A combination of technical service, process development, processing laboratory techniques and regulatory requirements in chemical, pharmaceutical or related industries.

Maintenance Manager

Location: Amsterdam Plant - Netherland

As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead the Maintenance department in a clear and inspiring way and will be responsible for all maintenance activities that go with it. You will draft and realize the maintenance policy for the site. The Amsterdam site is our most complex production site in the Netherlands within the Business Unit and has a very positive track record with regards to productivity, service delivery and quality and safety.

This role reports into the Maintenance & Engineering Manager and is part of the Site Management Team. The maintenance team is comprised of two installation managers and several technicians. The site works in two shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • An important task is the further professionalisation and structuring of your department, at the process, procedure and plant level, but also in terms of culture (attitude and behaviour);
  • You are co-responsible for the (international) application and management of investments (Capex).
  • Ensure good coordination between your department and the internal partners to make the planning and maintenance process run as smoothly as possible.
  • Guarantee and apply the professional standards regarding Safe Working as laid down in the PPG Corporate Requirements and the national and international standards.
  • By effectively maintaining the installations, including the associated documentation and administration, the department contributes to the high safety, delivery and quality requirements;
  • Ensure the correct follow-up of inspections, the points for improvement and you steer the associated (administrative) settlement in accordance with KPIs.
  • Develop and contribute to improvement projects from a long-term vision, for example based on Lean, BPI and TPM principles. You will use analyses from the maintenance management system.
  • Monitor the financial objectives of your department and are accountable for them on a monthly basis.

Qualifications

You are in possession of a completed, technical education on at least HBO level;

  • Direct management experience, preferably in a technical and/or production environment, additional training or experience in the field of maintenance management is a plus;
  • You have feeling for improvement and change processes and this is for you a condition to perform optimally; Hereby you find it important to introduce processes and structures;
  • An energetic personality with natural superiority that can realise changes together with teams;
  • Passionate about cooperation and results and have the ability to enthuse people for your vision and ideas;
  • Proven analytical skills (helicopter view) and are able to see and make connections and set the right priorities;
  • An excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.

Lean Six Sigma Site Project Leader

Location: BODELHAUSEN PLANT - GERMANY

As a Lean Six Sigma Site Project Leader, you will lead and drive meetings and continuous improvement projects across all disciplines at the site. You will monitor the performance of site activities to advise management and leaders on potential improvements. The LSS Project Leader will report directly to the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement tools.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects in different departments such as manufacturing, labs (development & QC), administrative departments, supply chain, QC, etc.
  • Measuring the success of the continuous improvement projects after their implementation.
  • Train site personnel on continuous improvement tools.
  • Help create a culture of change and safety
  • Implement change projects
  • Implement and monitor site efficiency measures (cost reduction, quality improvement, lead time and waste reduction, "waste time" reduction, 5S, etc.)
  • Facilitation of regular work group meetings
  • Conducting "Rapid Improvements Workshops" with the goal of realizing short-term optimizations
  • Optimization of process and site operations
  • Participation in "Problem Solving" meetings

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or comparable
  • Knowledge of CIP tools including Six Sigma, Lean, Problem Solving, etc. (theory and practice)
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience (including lean manufacturing, process improvement)
  • Experience in project management and MOC
  • Interpersonal skills and high empathy
  • Analytical as well as well organized
  • Very good communication skills & ability to build bridges
  • Very good command of the German and English language, both written and spoken

Industrial & Engineering Projects Specialist

As a Industrial & Engineering Projects Specialist, you will play the important role in industrial projects organization on the St Just en chaussée site according to the goals of productivity. As an excellent professional you will insure quality and in compliance with regulations and hygiene and safety rules.

You will report to the director of the site.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and build the investment plan of the site.
  • Monitor the realization of investments according to the defined budget.
  • Manage new construction projects.
  • Develop and validate the technical feasibility of industrial plant projects and process optimization.
  • Select suppliers/service providers with the purchasing department.
  • Receive and prepare the production tools and follow the commissioning.
  • Ensure a technical benchmark for improving the site concerning production performance, ergonomics and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor, Master's degree or BTS Production with 3 or more years of professional experience in industrial production or design office.
  • Professional English.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and EHS standards.
