What tasks and responsibilities can you expect?

As Data Analytics Engineer, you will:

  • Develop analysis of equipment and work processes with relevant data sources by identification and implementation of performance indicators
  • Engage project teams to understand project needs/requirements and provide technical expertise with data and analytical tools.
  • Design digital solutions that facilitate the access to information contained in the data by providing access, pertinent analysis, appropriate visualization techniques as well as the workflow to support efficient decision making in production environment

As an Engineer, you will take part in designing new machines and their components, ensuring the accurate selection, specification and construction of mechanical equipment as well as owning the upgrades of our manufacturing lines worldwide. Tasks and responsibilities:

You will typically start as a Technical Engineer in the areas of process control, automation, robotics, electrical design, industrial SW development, manufacturing digitization and/or plant network design with specific responsibilities on a key project that will involve the following:

  • Design and evaluate technical options for achieving business objectives;
  • Prepare a design basis for the project, based on engineering studies, high end computer modeling and simulation, economic evaluations and consultations with Manufacturing, Research & Development and other contributing groups;
  • Design, develop and procure new processing equipment in collaboration with suppliers;
  • Develop and conduct acceptance tests on equipment purchased from vendors;
  • Lead new equipment start-ups in the production plants and train the production teams;

What internship projects you can expect?

During your internship, you will be responsible from Day 1 for your own project(s) that will involve one or more of the following:

Mechelen DC Process Engineer

 

As a Process Engineer in the Mechelen Distribution Center, you will eliminate process losses in several areas in our distribution center in Mechelen. Mechelen DC is part of the Mechelen Cluster, containing 3 DC’s (One P&G owned, two 3PL owned).

Our mission is to load and unload all trucks on time in the most cost-efficient way with safety and quality as our first priorities.

Next to that, you will be responsible for the daily perfect execution and delivery of our orders. You will build strong and sustainable relationships you will leverage to accelerate our business through regular results reviews and action planning.  You will be proposing and leading improvement projects on your job scope in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and your external partners.

External Manufacturing Operation Internship

The external manufacturing department is the living heart of many different plants working for P&G. Our role aims to ensure that each production order is fulfilled, that every product satisfies the P&G quality standards, and that the most optimized supply network is generating excellent results to deliver high performing products day after day!

This internship takes place at the Brussels Innovation Center of P&G (“B.I.C.”) with more than 1000 employees working on site for Home and Fabric Care products (Ariel, Dash, Mr Proper, Dreft, Swiffer, Febreze, etc.). B.I.C. has many departments (R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.). Our department is very diverse with multiple nationalities across our employees!

 

We are looking for interns in the following teams:

Manufacturing processes/Operations

We will give you one or several projects to coordinate from A to Z to suggest optimizations to the manufacturing processes, trigger change of process, or reorganize part of the supply chains.

Quality Assurance (QA)

We will give you a project to drive the systemic Quality continuous improvement program, in support to day to day operation to achieve business target and deliver initiative excellence. External Manufacturing QA is accountable for product release and disposition, proactive monitoring performance of the external manufacturer, to ensure they remain in validated state.

 

MPD (Material Process & Delivery) Process

You will be assigned to impactful Technical Projects such as:

  • Qualification of new Formulas/new Ingredients together with R&D/Business/Quality Teams
  • Development of Process Optimizations for the Factories (new Technologies, Rapid Changeover Programs, etc.)
  • Implementation of Sustainable Solutions (Waste Reduction, Cleaning Reduction, etc.).
