Software Engineer

As a full stack developer in the Digital:Lab Berlin you will follow the entire life cycle of a software product using lean methodologies within a balanced team and a strong focus on the end-user.

Following are some of your responsibilities:

  • We collaborate closely with our partners from internal business units like Sales, Marketing and R&D to understand their vision of a promising solution for the user and break it down into a backlog of user stories that can be implemented
  • We apply lean and agile development process using Extreme Programming methods, we are focusing on the delivery of a minimal viable product (MVP) through early validation with our end-users

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • You have at least 3 years of strong experience in backend, frontend, or mobile development using modern programming languages such as Java/Kotlin, Scala, Go, Javascript/Typescript, Python, Swift, Rust, etc.
  • You have fun working as part of a multicultural, interdisciplinary balanced product team
  • You are open minded, kind, and socially adept
  • You have fun in continuous learning
  • You simplify complex problems and build high-quality software
  • You like to code and to share your knowledge
  • You want the opportunity to practice pair programming and possess strong communication skills

  • You speak English fluently
  • You have a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, or equivalent

Nice to have

  • Experience with microservice architecture, Cloudfoundry, Concourse CI, Docker, Git, and knowledge about Continuous Delivery concepts
  • International experience
  • Experience contributing to Open Source projects
